Introduction​

Our friends in Oxkutzcab have been trying to get us to do a project there for nearly 5 years. In 2017, we were able to visit Oxkutzcab and visit with them in person. We have completed our project in La Guajira, Colombia and finally have an opportunity to return to Mexico.

Although we are still awaiting approvals and sorting out the details, we do have some goals for our April 2020 visit:

 

1. Conduct a needs assessment at 4 villages to help us identify projects for our 2021 visit.

 

2. We have a nurse in our group that has experience with immunizations, We would love to be able to provide vaccinations for the children in several villages.

 

3. We have an eye doctor in our group who wants to conduct eye testing and provide glasses and medical drops to those in need.

 

4. Conduct an initial nutritional assessment of the children in the villages.
